About Chinese Leaf:
Also known as Chinese cabbage or napa cabbage, Chinese leaf, as its name implies, is native to the Yangtze River area of China. It is believed to have resulted from the hybridization of the turnip and pak-choi.
Benefits of Chinese Leaf:
Chinese leaf is particularly rich in vitamin C as well as having modest amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium and sodium.
Moderation is the key with vegetables like Chinese leaf. People talk about the potential for wind when feeding dogs leafy greens, but we have never had a problem when we feed our dogs the moderate proportions we recommend.
Preparing & Cooking:
Finely dice and steam or boil for just 2 to 3 minutes until the leaves are just cooked without being limp and soggy.
Lightly steam and serve as a side dish.
