Dogs don’t need Life Stage Foods

Life stage diets are not essential

As discussed in a previous post, The Life Stage Feeding Debate, once a puppy has been weaned in the wild, it will eat exactly the same food as its parents and the other members of its pack for the remainder of its life.

Yes, it will need to eat more when it’s growing and developing and less when it ages and is less active, but aside from that, its diet, and its dietary requirements, will be the same as the other members of its canine family.

Eating a balanced, high quality, varied diet is all that is required whatever a dog’s life stage.
